Djing since 1992, Mael has began to play in Paris, and became quickly one of the well known DJs of the “parisian scene”. His beat on beat mixing technic was his force, and all the foreigner DJs who came to play in the parties in France where he was playing used to be positively surprised by this “local dj”...
But for the guitar player he was, playing the music of others was not a final goal.
He made his first collaborations with his friend from school DJ Lestat (aka Talamasca),and DJ Christof (Absolum) under the name of Elixir.
After the big success of this collaboration, they decided all together to make the quite famous 3D Vision label, where Mael gave his first tries as a single producer, under the name of Mael first (with the KLM track who became a "hit"...)and then as Nomad, which was a more powerful, but a bit harder project , and he contributed to make from this label one of the most respected of the actual trance scene. After now two albums, Hyperactive and Mad attack, Mael began to do some down tempo tracks, under the name of nomad brothers....
Then, he came back to the psytrance in 2004 by making the label "mind control" with talamasca, and began to produce again some stomping tracks under the name of Nomad again...
but the down tempo experience made him think differently about the music, and he came back to the original source of trance by making the "tribute with no name" track (released on mind controllers part 2), and realised that the music he is making nowadays was more corresponding to the original first project: MAEL!
